The location could not be better as it was in a separate tower in the chateau while providing a stunning view of the mountains. We sampled their recommended places to eat from a nearby restaurant to a lovely Michelin du Charm restaurant, both of which had fantastic service. the bed was extremely comfortable, and we delighted in the welcoming reception by the owners. the breakfast was just what we needed to fuel our days, with homemade pastries, bread, jam, and fresh fruit.
The tours run only hourly, which can be inconvenient for late risers.

My partner and I agreed that this was the single best hotel experience we'd ever had, felt like royalty throughout and couldn't wipe the grins off our faces. Technically it's a B&B, with only 5 rooms. As it was midweek and out of season there wasn't anyone else there, which was a shame as it would have been nice to share our awe and delight with others. However, it did result in our being given a choice of rooms - any of them would have been a delight. The Chateau itself is absolutely stunning, and the setting is fabulous. The place is stuffed to the gunnels with antiques and it feels like there's always something new to notice. The shared library was particularly lovely. The owner was key in making the experience so great. She was very warm and attentive without being overbearing, and also very good at telling us the history of the place. Above all she has wonderful attention to detail. This was also true of the breakfast, which was of a very high quality and even the jam dishes were antiques...
Really can't think of anything I would change, cannot recommend highly enough.

I liked the history of the castle and ground on the tour of the premises. It was very interesting, but could not be described as luxurious.
Some of the service was officious and made me feel less like as guest and more like an intruder. If you want to stay more than two nights, I would suggest look elsewhere. It is not that homelyands lacks the facilities to truly make you fell 'at home.' It was pleasant just not that welcoming.

We enjoyed our romantic escape at this historic castle. the suite was cozy and well-furnished with antiques. the breakfast was plentiful with a variety of choices. the castle's location in a pretty village provided a nice atmosphere for walks and exploring the surroundings.
the absence of on-site dining options also made it difficult to plan meals.

What a wonderful experience! Stayed in a beautiful historic building within a charming village. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated with views of the mountains. The breakfast was perfect, with fresh homemade products and a traditional French setting. The free parking and wifi were very useful during our stay.
The staff were not very accommodating to our requests, and the check-in process could have been smoother. a good base to explore the region.

Our stay at the Castle at St. Saturnin was wonderful - the kind of experience that memories are made from. The owners, m & Mme Penicaud, made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was large and comfortable, the bathroom even better! We highly recommend this location and hope to return ourselves.
My only recommendation is for softer pillows but this is a minor comment. The room was really lovely.

This is one of the best chateau hotels I have stayed in . The owners are very helpful and discreet. Breakfast is first rate and they booked a good local restaurant for us for dinner.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this fabulous castle for a night and we were absolutely blown away. The owners warmly welcomed us and made our stay incredibly easy and comfortable. The castle itself is well-maintained and oozes charm and history. We were even treated to a free guided tour, which added to the overall experience. The location is stunning, with beautiful views of the mountains and a charming medieval village nearby. We also appreciated the owners' recommendation for a nearby Michelin du Charm restaurant, which was an incredible dining experience. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a special and unforgettable stay.
